CANYON (A. Vivenzio) dolce Jazztet Gianluca Barbaro - recorder Antonio Vivenzio - piano European Jazz Contest 2010 - Final - Rome - Italy - 2010-08-27	This is one of the most famous JS Bach's compositions, the G Prelude to the first Cello Suite, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Here I play it through an Akai EWI USB and Garritan Aria software, that is an Electronic Wind Instrument connected to a computer. The EWI isn't that much used in early or classical music yet, so this is a sort of rarity, I guess. This piece wasn't written for wind instruments, so there's almost no place where to breath properly: I had to use a special technique known as "circular breathing", so that the music goes on while breathing in through the nose.
